Maria Donahue

Maria Donahue is a dedicated student-athlete and redshirt junior at the University of Pittsburgh, where she competes as a midfielder and defensive specialist for the Panthers. Originally from Bethlehem, PA, Maria developed her elite skill set with Triple Threat Lacrosse Club and made her mark at Saucon Valley High School. There, she set a school record with 162 goals and 65 assists, leading her team to consecutive PIAA District XI AA championships in 2018 and 2019.

At Pitt, Maria is pursuing a degree in Psychology through the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and contributes to the broader university community as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Her commitment to both academics and athletics reflects her drive and discipline.

Off the field, Maria is passionate about giving back to the game she loves. She’s especially excited to coach youth players through Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club (PPLC), where she shares her experience and energy to help young athletes grow in confidence and skill.

Maria’s athletic background is as diverse as it is impressive—she was a four-year starter in soccer and an eight-time district medalist in swimming. She also brings leadership and heart to everything she does, having organized community service initiatives and volunteered regularly as a youth coach.

With her well-rounded experience, strong leadership, and deep love for the game, Maria is committed to inspiring the next generation of lacrosse players both on and off the field.
