Alayna Francis
Hailing from Irwin, Pennsylvania, Alayna Francis brings a strong defensive presence and a competitive edge to her coaching role with Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club. Currently a junior at Marietta College, she plays defense for the Marietta lacrosse team while pursuing a major in Sports Medicine.
On the field, Alayna is recognized as a tenacious defender and a key contributor to her college team. In 2024, she earned All-OAC Honorable Mention honors and started 15 of 16 games, leading the team with 70 draw controls—ranking ninth in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC). She also demonstrated her defensive prowess with 15 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls, consistently disrupting opposing offenses.
Her sophomore season in 2023 saw her earn her first varsity letter, starting all 17 games and earning All-Ohio Athletic Conference Second Team honors. She again led the team in draw controls (72) and caused turnovers (19), while contributing offensively with a goal and 24 groundballs.
Before college, Alayna was a standout multi-sport athlete at Norwin High School, where she lettered four times in lacrosse and three times in field hockey. Her accolades include 1st Team All-Section lacrosse (2022), 2nd Team All-Section lacrosse (2021), and field hockey All-Star honors (2022)—testament to her athleticism and competitive spirit.
