Laura Kleiber - Head Coach, Mt. Lebanon Youth/MS; Division I Student-Athlete Lafayette College
Kleiber is going into her 5th year with Premier. She was a Four-year starter at Lafayette where she played midfield. Graduated in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Art History now pursuing her masters in Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh. At Lafayette, Kleiber was tri-captain her senior year and had 116 career goals. She was selected for the All-Patriot League First Team junior year and selected for All-Patriot League Second Team, All Academic Patriot League Team, and tied for leading scorer in the Patriot league her senior year. She attended Newark Academy High School in Livingston, NJ where she played soccer, basketball and lacrosse.
Alison Valerio - Head Coach, Washington & Jefferson; Division I Student-Athlete Niagara University
Coach Valerio is going into her 6th year with Premier. She is the current head women's lacrosse coach at Washington & Jefferson College. Valerio led the Presidents to back-to-back ORLC Championships in 2016 and 2017, and their first NCAA tournament appearance in program history. W&J finished the 2018 season 2nd in the ORLC and appeared in their third consecutive championship game. Several of her players have received All-ORLC accolades, including Defensive Player of the Year (2016, 2017, 2018), Newcomer of the Year (2015, 2017), as well as IWLCA All-West Region First Team and Second Team selections (2017, 2018). Most notably, Valerio coached the 2018 NCAA Statistical Champion for ground balls per game and the #2 goalie in NCAA DIII for save percentage. Valerio was a four-year letter winner on the Division I Niagara women's lacrosse team. She graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in education and earned a master's degree in the same field from Niagara in 2012. During her time with the Purple Eagles, Valerio was a four-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team Selection. Valerio spend the 2013 academic year as W&J's assistant coach and 2011-12 as an assistant coach with the Niagara lacrosse staff.
2022 Team Staff:
Chelsea Cameron - Head Coach, Sewickley Academy; Club Student Athlete Penn State University Chelsea played for Penn State’s Club lacrosse program serving as the team’s co-captain in her final year. She also worked along-side Penn State’s D-1 coaching staff serving as the team manager for four years. She graduated with a degree in secondary education and honors in educational psychology from the Schreyer Honors College. Chelsea is also a North Allegheny alumnae where lettered all four years in lacrosse and served as a team captain earning the Most Outstanding Player award 2-years in a row. Chelsea also earned the honors of Academic All-American in 2006 and 2007, Section 1 All Star, and Team 2 All WPIAL. Chelsea returned to North Allegheny’s program to coach with Shannon Rossi in 2011 and 2012. She assisted in the formation of NA’s first girls youth program. From 2012-2016, Chelsea served as an assistant coach at State College High School advancing the team to its first state quarter finals in team history. During her tenure at State High, the program produced 2 All Americans, 14 Mid-Penn All-Star Selections, 9 Mid-Penn First Team All-Star Selections, and 8 collegiate level players. Chelsea is currently a graduate student at Penn State University where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in educational psychology.
Kristin Yoviene Illkin - Division I Student Athlete Robert Morris University This is Kristin’s first season with Premier as a full-time coach. Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Kristin was recruited to play Division 1 lacrosse at Robert Morris University as a midfielder. She was a four-year starter and senior captain. Over the course of her lacrosse career at RMU, she earned many honors including two NEC All-Conference Team selections and various selections as NEC Player of the Week. In her four years with the Colonials, Kristin became the 2nd All-Time Leading Scorer finishing with 174 points. She also set a new record for the program during the 2014 season with 71 total points, which marks the most points scored in one single season. Kristin graduated from RMU in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and a minor in Psychology. After graduating, she moved to Ashburn, Virginia where she taught in 3rd grade for two years. In addition to teaching in Virginia, she served as the head coach for the 3D Mid Atlantic High School girls' lacrosse team and also as the head coach for the Ashburn Bandits, grades 3 and 4. Kristin recently moved back to Pittsburgh after getting married to her husband, Clay. In addition to coaching with Premier, Kristin is now back at RMU where she will pursue a Master’s degree in Literacy, along with a Reading Specialist certification.
